- Close other applications before beginning
installation
- Insert CD
- Select "Install Medisoft"
- Choose either the Second (Basic) or Third
(Advanced) choice for your software
- Accept the agreement
- Hit "Next", "Next" "Next" etc until its done
installing
- That's it. Information for setting up your
practice, provider, codes, patient info etc is included on your
installation CD-ROM or can be
downloaded here.

Installing the NETWORK Versions of Medisoft and
Office Hours Professional
Note: Please read through the instructions listed
below BEFORE attempting the installation.
INSTALLING THE ADVANTAGE DATABASE SERVER:
- Make a folder
on your main (server) computer named MEDIDATA
- Share that
folder so everyone can access it. If you are using Windows Server 2000
or 2003, set the permissions of that folder to SYSTEM with full access.
- Be sure
that the network connection for the server has a Static I/P address assigned
to it.
- Next
install the Advantage Database Server for NT from the
Installation Disk
- Just use
the default responses until you get to the serial number screen. Then enter
the Serial # and Validation Key
- Make a note
of your server's name as you will need this information when installing the
program software.
- If you do
not use the Internet at your office OR if you have a ROUTER for your
Internet Access, then be sure to disable your firewall settings on your
server and workstations. Otherwise Medisoft will not be able to
connect to the data.
INSTALLING MEDISOFT NETWORK PROFESSIONAL:
- From the
Installation Disk, Choose the FIRST option "Install Medisoft Patient
Accounting"
- Next,
select the option for MEDISOFT NETWORK PROFESSIONAL (First four numbers of
serial number
1818)
- Just keep
hitting the <ENTER> key through the rest of the installation.
- After you
finish installing the program, exit out of the installation.
- Hold down
your <F7> key and double click on the Medisoft Network Program icon.
You should now see a message saying "Cannot connect to Data Path". Now
type in \\server\medidata
If your server is named something besides "server", then put that name in
the data path instead. Now Click on "OKAY" You should now
be connected to the server and able to run the program. Be sure to
register your program within 30 days so that it will run without
interruption and PRINT YOUR REGISTRATION INFO.
- Repeat
steps 1-5 on each workstation.

installation CD-ROM or can be

INSTALLING OFFICE HOURS PROFESSIONAL NETWORK:
- From the
Installation Disk, Choose the FIRST option "Install Office Hours Professional
- When it
asks for the first four numbers of your serial number, enter
2828
- Just keep
hitting the <ENTER> key through the rest of the installation.
- Hold down
your <F7> key and double click on the Medisoft Network Program icon. You
should now see a message saying "Cannot connect to Data Path". Now type
in \\server\medidata If
your server is named something besides "server", then put that name in the

What are the minimum requirements for operating Medisoft Version 14?
Listed
below are the minimum system
requirements needed to run Medisoft. Please note, if you barely meet the
minimum requirements, your performance could be affected. The program
will run, but you may encounter lag.

Pentium 4 2.6Ghz processor or higher, 1GB of available hard disk space,
512MB of RAM, 16+ color display, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP
Professional or Windows Vista Business edition.
